HEALTH CARE
Healthcare providers -whether doctors, nurses, midwives or clinical officers - work exceedingly hard and, despite their education, often struggle to make ends meet. MCI helps to provide salary support and educational opportunites for these essential staff so they can continue to provide compassionate care under difficult circumstances.

Dzama Orphan Care School
Malawi Children's Initiative is partnering with UNC to help build a new schoolhouse for the Dzama Orphan Care School. Located about 15 miles outside of Lilongwe, Dzama village has particularly been hit hard by the AIDS crisis, leaving many orphaned children. Currently, over 1,300 children are supported by Dzama Orphan Care. We’re proposing to build a new school block for the children to grant the children an education up to the 6th grade.
